Mark J. Goodwin of Newnan, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the age of 56. Mark was employed with Delta Airlines for 32 years. He was a member of Crossroads Church in Newnan for 28 years where he served as an usher and small group leader throughout his time there. Both of these places were like second families to Mark and his family throughout the years. Mark was also a scout master for the Boy Scout Troop 55.
In addition to this, he was a loving husband and dedicated father. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Beth Goodwin; his daughter, Emily Patterson and her husband, Thomas; son, Daniel Goodwin; brother, Victor Goodwin; sister, Peni Durham; nephews, Dru and Dustin Durham; father-in-law, Bill Bradford; sister-in-law, Christie Braddy; sister-in-law, Becky Newland, and her husband Kevin; nephew, Jacob Newland, and niece, Abigail Newland.
A memorial service will be held at 12 o’clock on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Crossroads Church with Pastor Ken Adams and Pastor John Hobbs officiating. Visitation begins at 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations for Crossroads Church’s ministry, Impact Coweta, in Mark’s memory.
