Sturgeon Bay - Carol L. Hodges, 73, of Sturgeon Bay, WI., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 7, 2021. She was born on August 13, 1946 in Green Bay, WI., to the late Earl and LaVerne (Williams) VanCaster.

Carol graduated from West High School in 1965. On April 8, 1967 Carol went on to marry the love of her life Gregg Hodges in Green Bay. Together they raised their two daughters: Heather and Melanie.

Throughout her life, Carol had many different jobs. Her biggest accomplishment and joy in life was owning her own quilt shop, Barn Door Quilt Shop in Sturgeon Bay.

Carol had many different talents and hobbies that kept her busy throughout her life, along with her children.

Carol is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gregg Hodges; two daughters: Heather Hodges and Melanie (Delmar) Siltala; granddaughters: Beth and Emily Siltala; and her four-legged friend Julia. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her parents-in-law Nathan and Elaine Hodges.

Due to the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will be holding a private burial service at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
