Cecilia P. “Ceci” Coleman received her wings and went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2021 at the age of 62.

She was born on May 2, 1958 to Martin and Clara B. Prudencio in Roswell, New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by parents Martin and Clara B. Prudencio, brother; Lorenzo Prudencio Sr, children’s father; Juan Rodriquez, niece; Crystal G. Martinez, nephews; Leroy Prudencio, Martin Prudencio, Steve Rivas, Johnny Ray Garcia, sister-in-law; Maria Prudencio, brothers-in-law; Alberto Moreno, Jacob Bushong and Johnny Garcia.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Jerry A. Coleman, her 3 children; Jesus M. Rodriquez partner Paola Talamantes of Roswell, NM, Maria Isabel Rodriquez of Roswell NM and Rosa Rodriquez of Roswell NM. Eight grandchildren; Juan Rodriquez Cameron, Genesis Rodriquez, Jacob Rojo, Mario Rojo, Cecilia Quinones, Ariel Quinones, Miracle Quinones, and a granddaughter on the way. Brother; Juan Prudencio wife Alvina Prudencio of Roswell NM. Sisters; Rufina Romero husband Deacon Louis Romero of Roswell, NM, Mary Bushong of Gilbert AZ, Josie Portillo husband Gustavo Portillo of Roswell NM, Victoria Moreno of Roswell NM, Lupe Portillo husband Ramon Portillo of Roswell NM and Theresa Prudencio of Roswell NM as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Cecilia graduated Roswell High School in 1977. She went on to college at Eastern New Mexico University Roswell where she received her Associates degree in Child Development. She worked as a aubstitute and Pre-K assistant for several years, Cecilia was a Christian woman with strong faith which led her to work and help in educational roles in churches she served throughout her life. She really enjoyed teaching children. She then proceeded to work as a caregiver for twenty years in which she then retired.

Cecilia was the beloved wife to Jerry A Coleman whom she married on June 30, 1999. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was such a loving person. She had a big kind and caring heart. She always was smiling and laughing around family and friends. She was a very giving person when she had nothing to give, she would find something to show you her appreciation. She lived for her grandchildren whom she loved more than life. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She loved to travel out of town and enjoyed going out to eat and shopping with family. She always enjoyed special occasions with family and friends. She will be missed tremendously by all that knew her, especially her family.

There will be a rosary for Cecilia at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Tuesday 19, 2021 at 6:00 PM. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Christ Church, 2200 N Sycamore Ave, Roswell, NM with interment to follow at South Park Cemetery.
