Christened 26 Mar 1856 at Kings Cliffe, Northamptonshire daughter of cryptogamist, clergyman, and one of the founders of the science of plant pathology Rev. Miles Joseph and Cecilia Emma Berkeley nee Campbell who had 15 children: Emeric Streatfield, Richard William, Cecilia Jane, Mary Elizabeth, Miles, Charlotte Selina Margaret, Grace Emily, Ruth Ellen, Margaret Amabelle, Isabella, Paul Maurice, Charles James Rowland, Julian Campbell, and Anna Victoria Berkeley. She is recorded with parents and siblings on the 1861 census residing in Park Street, Kings Cliffe, then on the 1871 and 1881 Census residing in Sibbertoft. After the death of their parents, she is found on the 1891 Census residing in Little Bowden, Leicestershire with her sister Charlotte - both occupied as School Mistresses. In 1901 she is recorded as living on her own means residing at Crane Hall, Stoke St Mary, Suffolk with brother Paul Maurice Berkeley who is occupied as C.S. Surveyor GLO Cit C. Rose died in St Andrew's Hospital, Northampton although her death is registered in Ipswich, Suffolk and she was buried 26 Apr 1906. Probate Date: 24 May 1906 London - Administration to brother Paul Maurice Berkeley a Gentleman.
