Elizabeth Kay Moses-Matney, 17, of Holts Summit, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015, in Holts Summit she sadly was a victim of an individuals capability to make a unselfish and wise decision to not operate a motor vehicle under the influence. Her life long best friend Mariah and cousin Megan where taken that night as well..
She was born July 30, 1998, in Tulsa, Okla., a daughter of Randy and Stacia (Moses) Matney, they survive of the home.

Elizabeth was about to enter her senior year at Jefferson City Public High School and she was employed with Goodrich Capital 8 Movie Theater. She thoroughly enjoyed her graphic design class in school and was very talented with it. Elizabeth loved her family and friends and spending time with them, she also loved her best friend, Miriah, and her cat, Molly.

She is also survived by her siblings: Devin Matney, Heidi Moses-Matney and Jacob Matney of Holts Summit; paternal grandparents: Laura Troutman and James Welschmeyer of Holts Summit; maternal grandparents: Annette Chappelle of Las Cruces, N.M., Dennis Moses and Patricia Walther of Taos; great-grandparents: Henry and Margaret Veltrop of Jefferson City, Jerry Couchman of California, Fred Lampman of CaliforniaElizabeth Kay Moses-Matney

Elizabeth Kay Moses-Matney, 17, of Holts Summit, Missouri passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015, in Holts Summit as a result of an automobile accident.

Beth was born July 30, 1998, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a daughter of Randy and Stacia (Moses) Matney and they survive of the home.

Elizabeth was about to enter her senior year at Jefferson City Public High School and she was employed with Goodrich Capital 8 Movie Theater. She thoroughly enjoyed her graphic design class in school and was very talented with it. Elizabeth loved her family and friends and spending time with them, she also loved her best friend, Miriah, and her cat, Molly.

She is also survived by her siblings: Devin Matney, Heidi Moses-Matney and Jacob Matney of Holts Summit; paternal grandparents, Laura Troutman and James Welschmeyer of Holts Summit; maternal grandparents, Annette Chappelle of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Dennis Moses and Patricia Walther of Taos, Missouri; great-grandparents: Henry and Margaret Veltrop of Jefferson City, Missouri, Jerry Couchman of California, Missouri and Fred Lampman of California; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her great-grandmothers, Helen Couchman and Ethel Lampman; aunt, Terry Nadreau.

Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 9, 2015, at Houser-Millard Funeral Chapel in Jefferson City.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 10, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church in Jefferson City with Pastor Rob Ericson officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Cemetery.
