She was educated in the Somerset County public school system. For many years, she worked in the seafood industry and later as a library aide at Crisfield High School.
Geraldine was married to James Howard Jackson, Sr. for sixty-two (62) years until his untimely death on November 3, 2002.
She was feisty, humorous and a good cook, especially at family reunions with her chicken and dumplings. She also fried a mean fish. She was nosy and wanted to know everything about everybody. She was very well- informed.
Geraldine was a lifelong member of Highway Holiness and was a member of the Mother Board and was always the first to pay her dues. She sometime attended Living Hope Ministries in Hopewell, Maryland. Geraldine was saved; she was and is a child of God.
In addition to her parents, Caroline Marshall Ward and Corzie Taylor and her husband James "Babeboy" Jackson, Sr., she was preceded in death by her son, George Ward, Sr., eight sisters and three brothers.
