Myra Latham Jones, 84, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, January 13, 2021, at Tift Regional Medical Center, in Tifton, Georgia.
Graveside services was held 2 PM, Sunday, January 17, 2021, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the services at the cemetery.
Mrs. Jones was born July 21, 1936, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Allen & Thelma Bryant Latham. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Jones loved to read, sew, watch football and do crossword puzzles. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
She is survived by her children: Ellen Delane Brewer & Gerald of Fitzgerald, Anissa McClelland & Dow of Irwin County and Kimberly Jones of Irwin County; grandchildren: Shane Jones, Kristyn Cruz, Jason Brewer, Jacob Brewer, Joye Lynn Griffin, Melissa Huffman, Wes Brewer, Tyler Carver, Matthew Carver, Cam McClelland; 17 great-grandchildren and one on the way; one brother, Larry Latham and two sisters: Gail Daniels and Lois Carter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leon Jones and a son, Michael “Mike” Jones
