Judith Jean (Houck) Stratton, 79, Huntingdon, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2020, at her home.

Born April 23, 1941, in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Eleanor (Lott) Houck. She was united in marriage to James K. Stratton Sept. 21, 1968. Mr. Stratton survives at their home.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Stratton is survived by two sons, Allan Stratton and wife, Sue, and Eric Stratton and wife, Stephanie, five grandchildren, Nathan, Kimberly, Marcus, Alex and Lauren; and a special niece, Tammy Prete, who was like a daughter to her.

She is also survived by brothers, George Houck and wife, Charlotte, Bill Houck and wife, Kathy, and Bob Houck and wife, Suzie, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Houck.

Mrs. Stratton was a member of the Ardenheim Church of the Brethren for over 60 years and was very active with her church.

She was also very active with Little League and Teener League.

Mrs. Stratton was a 1959 graduate of Huntingdon High School.

She worked for the Fred B. Bayer Co. in Huntingdon, and then was a wife, mother and homemaker.

Mrs. Stratton loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved to read and bake.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at the 15th Street United Methodist Church, Huntingdon, with the Revs. Barb Servello and Ted Hughes officiating. Interment will be made in the Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon.

Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Stratton to UPMC Home Nursing Hospice, 6680 Towne Center Boulevard, Huntingdon, PA 16652 or the Independent Brethren Church, 10811 William Penn Highway, Huntingdon, PA 16652.
