Ms. Sonya Ann Cohran Taylor, age 55 of Ellijay, Georgia passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021. She was born March 9, 1965 in Douglasville, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. James Kenneth Cohran and Mrs. Delores Ann Gray Cohran. Ms. Taylor was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved watching children, especially rocking them. Ms. Taylor was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed by her family and loved ones.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Annie Ruth and Nelson Norton, Robert Pleas Gray, Mattie Lee and Earlie Lee Cohran.
Ms. Taylor leaves behind to cherish her memories, daughter and son-in-law, Roxie and Cody Mitchell of Ellijay, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, James Brian and Brittany Taylor of Ellijay, Georgia; mother, Delores Ann Gray Cohran of Douglasville, Georgia; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Cheryl Hood of Carrollton, Georgia, Stacey and Charlie Rakestraw of Douglasville, Georgia, Jeanette and Lane Kirk of Douglasville, Georgia; four grandchildren, Leland Mitchell, Kenley Mitchell, Emily Taylor, Aniah Taylor; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 4:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville with Pastor Darryl Jones officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Jones-Wynn Funeral Home to help with funeral cost.
Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville is in charge of the arrangements.
