Dustin J. Wood, 42, of Columbia City, passed away unexpectedly at work Friday, January 15, 2021 in Arcola. Born January 6, 1979 in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Guy and Sharon (Engle) Wood.
He graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1997. On September 20, 2008 he married Tana Perkins. Besides being a lifelong farmer, Dustin also built pole barns for Gruettert Buildings for over 20 years. Dustin loved his family and friends and loved being outdoors.
Dustin is survived by his loving wife, Tana Wood; sons, Quinton Perkins, Hunter Wood and Owen Wood; mother and step-father, Sharon and Jeff Heaton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jodi and Barry Chambers and Wendy and Marty Grooms; brother and sister-in-law, Aaron and Rachel Wood; mother-in-law, Tina Perkins; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Lisa Perkins and Jenifer Perkins and Jason Oliver; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Wood in December of 1998 and Robert "Bob" Perkins in December of 2018.
