Brother David Wayne McKenzie, age 73, of Temple, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021.
He was born on February 5, 1947, in Atlanta to the late Allen S. McKenzie, Sr., and the late Lula Victoria Born McKenzie.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Ronnie McKenzie; and one brother, Allen S. McKenzie, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Davis McKenzie of Temple; two sons and daughter-in-law, David (Melissa) McKenzie of Buchanan and Richard McKenzie of Hiram; one daughter, Shannon McKenzie of Carrollton; one brother and sister-in-law, Danny (Barbara) McKenzie of Villa Rica; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha Ann (Lamar) Gentry of Villa Rica, Elsie (Danny) Hicks and Barbara Jean Coker of Hartwell, GA; 10 grandchildren, Nicole, Lee, Andrew, Christopher, Stephanie, Zachary, Hannah, Blake, Spencer, and Gavin; 11 great grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, from Piney Woods Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Toby Stevens officiating.
Interment will follow in Piney Woods Cemetery with the grandsons serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 18, 2021, at the Piney Woods Baptist Church from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
