Norma Estelle Rowe, aged 82 years, passed away peacefully on April 22,2013 with her family at her side after a courageous struggle with breast cancer. A truly kind-hearted, gentle, and generous soul, she will be greatly missed by many. She loved life, adventure, a good story, and especially God, creation, friends, family and her fellow man. A talented writer and teacher, she enjoyed teaching English and Journalism, not retiring until the age of 80 years. Over the years, many former students stopped to say hello to her and this always made her happy. Ever cheerful, optimistic, and enthusiastic, she was a good daughter, sister, and a really great mom and grandma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Bessie Quinlan. She is survived by two sisters, Joan (Ron) Richardson and Wendy (Ed) Teeter of Florida. Also surviving are her children Bradford (Amy) Rowe of Cheboygan, MI, Nathaniel (Kimberly) Rowe of Ann Arbor, MI, Lorna (William) Twining of Almont, MI, and Jonathan (Robin) Rowe of Kalamazoo, MI. In addition, she is survived by nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four nephews and their families, and multiple cousins and their families.
