Noreen Wagstaff Taylor
May 28, 1934 ~ October 17, 2018

Centerville, UT - Noreen returned to her heavenly father at home on Tuesday October 17, 2018 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born May 28, 1934 in American Fork, Utah to William I. Wagstaff and Hilda Payne Wagstaff. Noreen was married and sealed for time and eternity to the love of her life, Paul D. Taylor on December 8, 1955 in the Manti, Utah Temple. They lived in New York and California before settling in Bountiful, Utah where they raised their two children, Alan and DeAnn. Noreen was very active in the LDS church. She was the Relief Society President, Young Women's leader, Den Mother, and Merry Miss Leader, along with many other church callings. She treasured her friendships, and enjoyed her monthly gathering's with Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Noreen worked as an LPN at the South Davis Community Hospital, and later worked at Lakeview Hospital when it opened. There, she worked in the out-patient center, and was proud to be part of the newly started program. She loved nursing, and received many accolades for her skills and compassion.

Noreen had many talents and gifts. She painted beautiful oil paintings that we love and will cherish. She made beautiful quilts, afghans, and could sew up a nightgown or outfit in record time. Cooking was another talent that we all enjoyed, especially her Chocolate Chip Cookies and Pies. Noreen was an avid reader of Mysteries and loved to travel with her husband. They went on many cruises, enjoyed the beaches, and traveled to 41 North American LDS Temples including those in Hawaii and Tahiti. Noreen became an expert camper so Paul could enjoy his love of fishing. Both would load up the camper and head out during the summer months for fishing trips in Yellowstone, or anywhere with a stream. Noreen truly had her best friend and soul mate for 63 wonderful years with Paul. Noreen's life was always filled with adventure, but it will be her love for her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren that will be most remembered. Time spent traveling, teaching the kids how to cook, sew, patiently playing rounds and rounds of games, reading stories on the couch, and her feisty sense of humor. She was strong and such a bright light that will be missed dearly by her family, and all who knew and loved her. Noreen leaves behind her husband Paul, daughter, DeAnn (Tee); Grandchildren, Lindsay (Dave), Paula (Ryan), Bryce (Misty), Ethan; and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Alan; parents; siblings, Glen Wagstaff, Roy Cordner, and Maisie Newsome.

Viewing to be held on Monday October 22, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Bountiful. A short viewing will be held Tuesday Oct. 23, 9:45 to 10:45 with a service following at 11:00 a.m. at the Brookhurst Ward building, 1298 North 400 West, Centerville.
