Clara Miller, 88, Washington, died Thursday, January 14, 2021 in Salina.

Visitation is from 12 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Ward Funeral Home in Washington, KS. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m.

A graveside funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Haddam City Cemetery, Haddam, KS.

Clara was born September 26, 1932 at rural Morrowville to Orville M. and Ruby (Yeager) Spence. In 1951, she graduated from Haddam High School.

On June 15, 1952, she was united in marriage to Dale Galen Miller in Haddam. They were blessed with two children, Clyde and Carol.

Clara was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family, sewing quilts, gardening and crocheting. She liked to study family genealogy.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and brother, Orville Dean Spence.

Survivors include her husband, Dale; son, Clyde (Pat) Miller, Salina; daughter, Carol (Jerry) Fischer, Phillipsburg; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A memorial fund is established the Haddam City Cemetery. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington.
