Bruce Rodgers, age 72 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021. He was born June 2, 1948 in Bellefontaine, Ohio the son of Stanley and Daisy Rodgers.

Bruce was a loving husband, father and an all-around family man. He was a humble man who was dedicated and loved the Lord. He attended Believers Hope Church of God and Independent Gospel Church. Bruce was knowledgeable in many areas including electronics, photography and music. For a time, Bruce worked in the security field and then as an electronic technician for Sonitrol and later Matrix.

Bruce enjoyed what life had to offer. He liked sports, especially baseball, traveling and fishing. He was quite a musician and played the organ, piano and liked to sing. In 2020, Bruce was nominated Chapter King for the Huber Heights district 0751 Tops International. Bruce was a quiet man, but when he spoke, it was worth your time to listen to him. He will be dearly missed by all of his loving family.

In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his brother, David Ellery Rodgers and aunt, Ruby Webb

Bruce will be missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Elma Rodgers; son, Joshua Rodgers; nieces, Olamae, Olivia, Anna, Noel, Dawn, Toni; nephew, Bruce; and uncle, Bill Jones.

Family will receive friends Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 11 a.m until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. at Independent Gospel Fellowship,1600 Brandt Pike, Dayton, Ohio, Pastor Kevin Seeley, officiating. Burial Shiloh Park Cemetery.
