Judy Mae Lawson, loving and devoted mother, wife, and friend to all passed peacefully in her home on January 13, 2021 at the age of 71. She was married to her adoring husband, Jay Lawson.
She was born to Ethel Taylor Wines and Robert Taylor in El Centro, California on November 2, 1949. She was raised in Vernon, Texas by her grandparents. She retired from the Fort Worth Water Department. Judy was strong in her faith with the Lord. She enjoyed many wonderful trips with her sisters and she loved being a doting Nana to her beloved grandchildren. She will be remembered for her generosity and unconditional love.
She is survived by her husband, Jay Lawson; children, Kevin Griffith and wife Jennifer, Bruce Griffith and wife Margaret and Melissa Lopez and husband Fred; grandchildren, Taylor, Kaitlyn and Macy, Colton and Blake, Jay Jeff and Meredith Marie; siblings, Cindy Barton and husband Mike, Sheila Scruggs and husband Mike, Bob Taylor and wife Mary, Bill Wines and wife Jennifer, Roger Taylor and Ted, Evelyn Montenegro and husband Mo, and Winona Brent. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Taylor Wines and her father Robert Taylor.
A Celebration of Life will be privately held on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.
