Elizabeth Diane McKenzie, age 74, Temple, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, January 6th, 2021. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 29th, 1946 the daughter of the late Lester Lee McKenzie and the late Lillie Ceil Mitchell Jeffares. She worked for various grocers as a meat wrapper, finishing her career with Publix Supermarkets. She was a member of New Genesis Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Angie and Jimmy Mills of Douglasville; sons and daughter-in-law: Derrick Hicks of Temple, and Darrell and Theresa Hicks of Whitesburg; sister, Betty Ann Alexander of Lithia Springs; step-brother: Lee Anderson and his wife, Shirley of Powder Springs; grandchildren: Janet Graham, Joanie Luense, Jason Luense, Melody Hicks, Cassie Hicks, Dillan Mills, Hannah Hicks, Levi Hicks, Hayle Hicks, Layle Hicks, and Ashley Hicks; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children: James Eric Hicks and Debbie Luense.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 12th, 2021 from 12:30 PM until the 2:30 PM.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 12th, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Mozley Memorial Park in Lithia Springs, Georgia with Reverend Lloyd Latham officiating.

The interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens with Dillan Mills, Robbie Strickland, Tim Strickland, Clay Strickland, Ashton Strickland, and Greg Seabolt serving as Pallbearers.
