CERES - Ernest W. "Ernie" Taylor Sr., 80, formerly of Barbertown Road, Ceres, passed away Wednesday (Jan. 06, 2021) in Sena Kean Manor.
Born Jan. 25, 1940, he was the son of Charles and Rose DeRemer Taylor.
He attended Shinglehouse, Pa., area schools.
Ernie formerly owned and operated Keystone Service Station in Eldred, Pa., for many years. He always enjoyed his work, as well as cutting wood and snowmobiling.
Surviving are two sons, Ernest W. "Butch" Taylor and Fred Taylor, both of Eldred; two daughters, Rose (Jim) Huntoon of Bradford, Pa. and Jessica (Tim) Shields of Portville; a brother, Jim Taylor of Ceres; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie and Norm; and two sisters, Betty and Joyce.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 10, 2021) at the Frame Funeral Home, Eldred. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday (Jan. 11, 2021) at Frame Funeral home, and burial will be in the Lamphier Cemetery.
