Ruth was the mother to Dwayne (Karol) Allen, Gary (Terri) Allen and a daughter Norma Manz (deceased).
She was very proud of her many grandchildren and nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herman Allen, brother Russell Schmidt, and 1 great granddaughter Kayla Schwitters.
During Ruth's life she was a loyal member of Christ Lutheran Church for 93 years. She was in Evangelism and serving others in whatever way she could. Her hobby was cleaning and keeping an immaculate home. She was a custodian for Hollis grade school and Mel Allen Construction. She managed the shoe store for Keystone Steel and Wire.
Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Christ Lutheran Church in Peoria, with services to follow at 11 a.m. Rev. Karl Eckhoff will officiate.
Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
