LaShanda was the daughter of Lenzie McKenzie and Helen Ruth Fuller Phillips. She was educated in the Dooly County School System and was a graduate of Dooly County High School in Vienna, Georgia. She was employed with Tyson Foods in Unadilla, Georgia as the Order Coordinator for 25 years. She was also a member of the Safety Committee. She was a member of the Temple of Faith Church. In 2019, she joined the Church of the Living God.
She was preceded in death by 1 sister, Annie Fuller McKenzie and 1 brother, Michael Fuller.
