She was born February 7, 1940 in Phoenix, NY to the late Wilfred D. and Ida Mae (Hubbard) Nelson.
She was a 1957 graduate of Phoenix High School. She worked as a secretary at General Electric where she met her husband. Dottie was active with Home Bureau, a former Avon Representative and she made flower deliveries for P & C grocery store. She loved flowers, birds, sewing, baking and cooking with/and for her grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Robert E. Jenkins (2020); her sister, Ann Champlin (2009); her brother, Wilfred Nelson (2005), and a grandson, Nicholas Jenkins.
Surviving are her sister, Gail (Jerry) Hess of Phoenix, NY; her sister-in-law, Catherine Nelson of Pennellville, NY; her two sons, Dana (Kathryn) Jenkins of Stillwater, NY and Richard (Kathleen) Jenkins of Marcellus, NY; grandchildren, Michelle (Michael) Greene, Danielle (Michael) Hall, Taylor Jenkins, Richelle Jenkins, and Kyle Jenkins; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
