Wilma Jean Johnson (nee Brown) of Fairfield formerly of Okeana, passed away on January 12, 2021 at the age of 93. She was born on March 28, 1927 in Lockland, Ohio to Birdie and Pauline (Terry) Brown.
Wilma married Elvin Johnson and they were blessed with three children: David, Pam and Monica. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting. Wilma also put her mind to task with jigsaw puzzles. She loved her family.
Wilma was preceded in death by her loving husband Elvin Johnson; son: David Johnson; parents: Birdie and Pauline Brown; and her brother Robert Brown.
Those left to cherish the many wonderful memories of Wilma are her beloved daughters: Pam (Wayne) Hensley and Monica Schamer; cherished grandchildren: Chris (Jenny) Johnson, Jered (Erin) Johnson, Jeromy (Nicole) Hensley; 7 great grandchildren: Tyler, Zachery, Cody, Jude, Simon Henry, Josiah and Kaleigh. Wilma is also survived by her brother: Bud Brown; daughter in law: Pauline Johnson and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 10-11 am for older/ immune compromised friends & family; 11 am to 12 pm for everyone else. Everyone in attendance will be required to wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.
The Funeral Service will follow at 12 PM with Brother Chuck McMahan officiating. Services will be live streamed and can be found at the link below in the service time listings.
Burial to follow at Drewersburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Smyrna Baptist Church or Drewersburg Cemetery. The funeral home will be available to accept the donation at the door or you may mail your donation to the funeral home and they will notify the family of your donation.
