Obituary of Anna Lee Adams
Anna Church Adams passed away peacefully with family after a courageous fight against cancer at Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care. She was born in Todd, North Carolina to Ira and Zora Church, the ninth of eleven children. She graduated from Toliver High School and was married to Zeb Vance Adams at West Jefferson, NC on April 27, 1950. She worked at both Southern Oxygen and IBM during the 1950s and helped put her husband through college. She moved with Zeb across the country as he followed employment with the air and space industry, living in Maryland, Texas, Pennsylvania and California, before landing permanently in Huntsville in 1964 along with their two daughters. Ann was an excellent cook, a great seamstress, a model homemaker who kept a spic and span home and she also loved to work in her yard and garden. She was loved by her whole family and was a great wife, mother and grandmother. Ann is survived by Zeb, her husband of more than 70 years and two daughters, Karen (Jay) Sullivan and Nancy (Harold) Parks and two granddaughters, Megan (Josh) Silk and Callie (Paul) Jacob. She is also survived by her siblings, Clyde Church, Paul (Janelle) Church and Doris Stevens as well as numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Special thanks to Huntsville Hospital Hospice for their loving care of Ann and her family. A private funeral is planned at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
