Helen Louise Eimer

Helen Eimer, 90, passed away Sept. 8, 2009, at The Little Sisters of the Poor.

Visitation held from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with rosary at 9:15 a.m. and Mass of Christian burial to follow at 10 a.m. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Helen was born in Kansas City, Mo., on Feb. 9, 1919. She was a graduate of St. Aloysius Academy. She attended St. Theresa College and graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in 1947. She retired from St. Joseph’s Hospital in 1984 after serving 29 years. Her positions there included Head Nurse of the Emergency Room, Assistant Director of Nursing and Infection Control and Employee Health Nurse.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth (Berry) Eimer and Vincent H. Eimer; her brothers, Vincent H. Eimer and John K. Eimer and her sister, Mary J. (Eimer) Lynch. She is survived and greatly missed by her nephews and nieces, whom she loved and nurtured, John K. Eimer, Jr. (Barb), Vincent W. Eimer, Linda (Eimer) Fishell (Allen), J. Kevin Eimer (Bev), Debbie (Eimer) Page (Jerry), Michael J. Lynch, Thomas P. Lynch (Donna) and Timothy J. Lynch.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to The Little Sisters of the Poor, 8745 James A. Reed Rd, Raytown, MO 64138.
