Barbara Jean Raney, age 68 passed away on January 8, 2021.

She was born on March 2, 1952, in Ennis, Texas, to the late Jesse James and Billye (Cheek) McCarty. She attended Ennis High School until graduation.

On March 20, 1970, she married Winston Raney and made a life in Garrett, Texas for 43 years. Barbara worked as a GI Tech at Bluebonnet Surgery Pavilion and Baylor Hospital Surgery Center in Waxahachie. Barbara also worked for Baylor Hospital for 35 years.

She enjoyed life and loved being with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She also loved growing her hydrangeas which she was so proud of. She loved the Lord and was a member of Jesus Name Pentecostal, Church.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Neal; brother, Jimmy McCarty; and nephew; Scotty Neal.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Winston Raney; son, Mitchell Raney and his wife, Alisa, of San Antonio; daughter, Stacy Little, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Felicia McCasland and her husband, Andrew, Paige Little and her fiancé, Lane, Steven Little, Jr. and his fiancée, Desi, Cori Geiger and his wife, Sally, Brandon Geiger, Stevie Raney, and Aiden Mlynek; great-grandchildren, Kylie McCasland and Parker Nelson; brother, Mike McCarty and his wife, Shelly, of Palmer; aunt, LaRue Jenkins, of Palmer; and numerous of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
