Richard A. Sharp of Plainfield, age 56, surrounded by the love of his family, passed away after a courageous fight with a 14-year illness on January 10, 2021.

He will be missed by all who knew him, for one of his life goals was to be kind and nice to everyone he met. He had a nickname for nearly every person he knew. If you were called Bert, Ernie, Nutt, Sammari, Moo or Cakes among hundreds of other monikers, you knew you held a special place in his heart. He worked at Welsch Red-E-Mix for over 20 years and made many friends during his time as a driver. He was a very involved Coach for all three of his son's sports. He loved to fish any chance he could and with anyone willing to go. There are many a fisherman out there from his children, his children's friends, his own friends, nieces, nephews and even his wife with specks of his fishing knowledge to continue his legacy.

He is survived by the people he loved so much and was extremely proud of, his wife Becky. Sons Brad, Ryan (Tania) and Jason (Stephanie Kirschbaum). Also survived by his loving parents Neal and Mary Lou Sharp. His wonderful sibilings, Sue (Gary) Yunker, Cyndi (Ken) Rice, Stephen Sharp. Mother-in-law Joan McGowan, Sister-in-laws Mary and Mickey McGowan. Brother-in-laws Mike McGowan and also very good friend, B.T. (Gina) McGowan. Along with a brood of nieces and nephews, everyone which had a nickname.

Preceded in death by his sister Kristine and brother Michael. Father-in-law Robert McGowan.
