Rose Marie "Ree" Garrett, 65, of Baton Rouge passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in Baton Rouge. Rose was a competing member of the Special Olympics where she won numerous medals. She also loved bowling and bocce ball. She worked at Families Helping Families, as a receptionist, and had many friends there. Rose loved to cook, kids and animals and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William "Red" and Catherine "Cat" Garrett and her nephew, Derek Olsen. She is survived by her two sisters, Cathy Olsen (Clifton) and Marla Weaver (Rusty) and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members whom she loved so much. Services will be at 11:00 am Thursday, January 14, 2021 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
