Mike was born Jan. 6, 1952, in Shullsburg, Wis. to Robert L. and Joan Harwick Webber. On June 8, 1996, he married Rhonda Rigdon Eldridge at Faith Lutheran Church in Eldridge.
Mike was retired from John Deere in 2006, after 32 dedicated years of service. His most recent assignment was as director of information technology for John Deere Health Care. Mike most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His passions were NASCAR racing, Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr., cars, boating and traveling. Mike was an avid Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers fan, as well. He was a member of the Firehawk Car Association and attended Faith Lutheran Church in Eldridge.
Survivors (and spouses) include his wife, Rhonda, Eldridge; daughters, Jennifer (Shawn) Metz, Columbus, Ohio, Monica (Anthony) Endres, Madison, Wis.; stepchildren, Rebecca and Jaime Eldridge, Ames, Iowa, Benjamin and Megan Eldridge at home; his mother, Joan Webber, Shullsburg; sisters and brothers, Jane (Tom) Jean, Darlington, Wis., Nancy Carrier (Howard Hodgeson), Shullsburg, Patrick (Carolyn) Webber, Davenport, Susie (Patrick) Ryan, Rockford, Hi, Jon (Cathy) Webber, Shawnee, Kan., and Lisa (John) Temple Knoxville, Tenn. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Celebration of Life memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 1, at Faith Lutheran Church, 500 W. LeClaire Road, Eldridge. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Faith Lutheran Church, Eldridge, or St. Matthew Catholic Church, Shullsburg, Wis.
