Christine Savannah Dickerson Clements was born November 3, 1934 in Grand Saline, Texas. She was a graduate of Grand Saline High School and married Joyce H. Clements in 1953. They lived at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogondo, NM, before moving to Tyler. She was an active member of the PTA, also serving as president of Jones Elementary in Tyler. She then moved to Van and continued her involvement with the PTA and school activities. Christine played on the women's softball team for General Electric, and loved going to the lake and camping. She also enjoyed musicals and shows in Branson, MO.
She worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for Kellam's Wholesale Candy & Tobacco Co. until retirement. She served as secretary of Colfax Baptist Church for several years as well as the youth director. She was an active member of Colfax Women's group and the Colfax Red Hat Ladies.
Mrs. Clements passed away at the age of 86 on January 12, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joyce H. Clements; parents, Jerrell W. Dickerson and Lettie Steele Dickerson; and siblings, Frances and J.W.
Survivors include her children, Keith Clements (Judy) of Ben Wheeler and Vickie Stofle (Bill) of Canton; brothers, Kenneth Dickerson, Doug Dickerson (Ethel), and Jerrell Dickerson, all of Silver Lake; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Reid of Canton; grandchildren, Shawn & David Stofle; great-grandchildren, Trent & Thailer Stofle; and many nieces anp
