Sharon Janson McCoy, 78, of Bay City, went to her Heavenly home, Monday evening, January 11, 2021 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw. She was born September 21, 1942 in Saginaw, daughter of the late Albert and Erna (Bender) Janson and was a 1960 graduate of Frankenmuth High School. On November 26, 1983 she was married to William McCoy in Bay City. He survives her. Sharon had a unique personality, everyone loved her. By now she has everyone in Heaven, and God are using her creative talents to redecorate Heaven to make it even more beautiful. Sharon’s family was her heart and soul. Two of her most precious gifts were her two great granddaughters. She was kind, generous and loved people. She would do anything to help family, friends, and strangers. She has left many beautiful flowers along the roadside of many lives. Her hobbies included decorating, cooking, flowers, shopping for shoes, clothes, jewelry, and Her favorite spot to visit was up north in Michigan.
Surviving besides her husband Bill, are her children and their spouses, Stepdaughter; a son-in-law, ; six grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings; brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her precious daughter, Cindy Lee Houghtaling, stepdaughter, Stephanie McCoy and brothers-in-law, Ronald McCoy and Randy McCoy.
A Funeral Service for the immediate family only will take place at 12 Noon Friday, January 15, 2021 from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 9940 Saginaw Street in Reese. Reverend Aaron Schian will officiate with committal services to follow in the Denmark Township Cemetery in Reese. There will be no public visitation.
Her funeral service will be live streamed on the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home website.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral service must be limited to 25 guests. Masks are required and individuals are asked to follow social distancing practices.
