Judy Annette Goines, 79 of Conroe, Texas passed away due to complications from the Corona virus at Conroe regional hospital on January 4, 2021.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Wayne Wilmoth and Pauline (Beeson); son, Randall Petty and grandson, Joshua Morton.

She is survived by her children, Ronald Morton (Sherry), Angela Griffin, Bentley Petty (Tami), John Richard Jr. (Beth), Angela Reyes (Gary), Kimberly Pelisek (Michael), LeeAnn Pena, 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Judy began her journey on October 21, 1941 in Conroe, Texas. She was a graduate of Conroe High school and enjoyed catching up with classmates during their reunion luncheons. Judy was reunited with her childhood sweetheart, John Richard Goines and they were married for 30 years. Throughout her life she was known for bringing stories to life while teaching Sunday School or reading to her grandchildren. She would grab a cardboard box, some stuffed animals, pebbles and an umbrella to tell the story of Noah and the ark. Judy enjoyed sewing clothes for her children and grandchildren, shopping at resale shops and antique stores, having lunch with her sisters, and spending time with her family. She was a faithful member of Living Way Church where she was known for her creativeness, baking skills and card ministry. Everyone always benefited from her "life lessons" she never hesitated to mention or the little notes of inspiration she would send to encourage a family member or friend. Judy was a beautiful woman who was selfless, thoughtful, and faithful. She was full of grace and dignity, laughter and love. Always steadfast, focused on her goal, leaning and trusting on God. As she entered into heaven Jesus took her by the hand and said," well done, good and faithful servant."

The family will receive friends for a visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.., Friday, January 15, 2021 with a service to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Living Way Church, 2200 Longmire Road in Conroe, Texas 77304. Internment will be at 10:00 a.m ., Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Conroe Memorial Park, 1703 Porter Road in Conroe, Texas. Due to covid restrictions, graveside service will be for extended family members only.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Claire Brothers Funeral Home, 7901 Hillcroft Street, Houston, Texas 77081.
