Mrs. Wright was born and reared in Elberton, Georgia, the daughter of the late Wilheit Jones and the late Hilda Norman Jones. She graduated from Elbert County High School in 1965 and attended the University of Georgia where she graduated Phi Kappa Phi with a BBA in Accounting. She was a member of Beta Alpha Psi accounting fraternity, where she would meet her future husband Clyde. Prior to marriage, Norma worked for the accounting firm of Ernst and Ernst in Atlanta. In 1971, she and her husband Clyde created what is known today as Wright and Wright CPAs in Sandersville where she currently worked as a tax accountant and office manager. Norma was also currently employed by Sandersville Builders Supply as the accounting controller. She was an active member of the Sandersville United Methodist Church where she formerly served as a church trustee, Sunday school teacher, and youth leader. Norma was active in her community as a member of the Guild of Washington County, the Pilot Club and the Transylvania Club where she was a past president. She loved to play bridge and share her cooking skills with her granddaughters. Nothing trumped Norma's love for her family. She loved the beach and spending time with family and friends at her family's home on Saint Simons Island.
Survivors include: her husband of 50 years, Clyde K. Wright; son, Brian K. Wright and his wife Jennifer; and grandchildren, Mary James Wright, Will Wright and Carrie Wright, all of Sandersville.
