A native of Hendersonville, NC, Earl was the son of the late Paul and Inez Williams Griffin. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Dean and his sister-in-law, Betty Ann.
Earl enjoyed the Henderson County Curb Market, Tarheel sports, the Atlanta Braves, bluegrass music, camping, and gardening. He especially loved his four legged furry friends.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Fran Griffin; two daughters, Teresa Griffin of Hendersonville, NC, and Lynn Griffin, of Florence, SC; and his adopted daughters, Kim Turner and Robbie Taylor. In addition, nieces Tammy Vaughn (Ray), Karla Lyda (Kevin), Deborah Griffin; and other great nephews and nieces.
Due to the pandemic, a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
