Joseph A. Kierpiec, 54. of Dix Road, died Saturday after being stricken while hunting in the
woods near Osceola. Mr Kierpiec was a management supervisor in the maintenance department of
Revere Copper and Brass Inc., where he had been employed for
more than 32 years. He was born in Higginsville
Feb. 27, 1920, son of Joseph A. and Alvina Pekola Kierpiec Sr. He
had lived in Rome since 1934. and attended schools here.
On Nov. 21, 1942, he married the former Mary A. Kruk in St.
Patrick's Church. Taberg. Prior to joining the Revere firm, he was employed by Fort
Stanwix Machine Co. He was a member of St Peter's Church, the Polish Independent
Club. Polish Home, the Stanwix Veterans' and Men's Club and the
Little Roaring Brook Rod and Gun Club.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Joseph M Kierpiec of
Rome and Martin J Kierpiec. Fultonville; five sisters, Mrs Edward (Pauline) Lubeck. Mrs
Eustacchio I. (Josephine) Console. Mrs Armond (Florence ) Centore and Mrs Edward (Laura)
Kozlowski. all of Rome, and Mrs Henry (Helen) Prusinowski. Kierpiec, Rome. and a
granddaughter, Jennifer L, Kierpiec, Rome Funeral services will be held at 815 Tuesday at the Martin J,
Nunn Funeral Home and at 9 in St Peter's Church, Burial will be
in Crown Hill Memorial Park, Town of Kirkland
Calling hours at the funeral home will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today.
