The world lost a beloved wife and mother, Joyce Taylor Carey, on January 11, 2021. Joyce battled a lung disease but it never stopped her from enjoying her family time even with a pandemic. Joyce died in her home surrounded by her family. Joyce was born in San Diego, CA on July 25, 1944.

Joyce was a stay at home mom and was also a business owner throughout her life. She was known as a sweet, loving soul, always sending beautiful handmade cards to loved ones. A woman of strong faith who’s life revolved around her family through her love of cooking and baking.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 59 years Edwin, and her children Celia O’Connell and husband Paul, Dale Carey and wife Yolanda, Amy Moser and husband David, grandchildren Caitlyn Chasteen and husband Tyler, Taylor Morehead and husband Michael, Matthew Moser, Isaiah Rios, Lauren Rios, Dalton Carey and Tanner Moser, great grandchildren Cole Chasteen, Kate Morehead and Chloe Chasteen, her sister Jane Taylor Allred and brother Lynn Taylor and wife Terri and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both her parents, Curtis and Elizabeth Taylor.

Friends are invited to say a final goodbye to Joyce at Navarre Funeral Home on Thursday, January 14, 2021 5pm-7pm. Funeral services will be held at Old River Baptist Church on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 10am and burial services immediately following at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery.
