Harold Russell Lee, age 81 of Gowen, died Sunday, January 10, 2021. He was born January 4, 1940 in Entrican, the son of Byron and Helen (Bannen) Lee. On August 27, 1960, he married Erma Jean Bollinger. Harold was a graduate of Lakeview High School, and owned Lee Potato Equipment for many years. He loved the outdoors, and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also enjoyed gardening and could grow anything. Harold enjoyed Western movies, word search puzzles, and faithfully fed the birds every morning at 9:00 am. He was preceded in death by his brother, Vern Lee. Harold is survived by his loving wife of more than 60 years, Erma; son, Robert Lee of Trufant; daughter; Shar Foster of Greenville; son-in-law, Tim Foster of Gowen; grandchildren, Joshua (Sydney) Foster, Autumn Foster, Ashley Lee, and Derek Lee; great-granddaughters, Amber and Maddison Foster; brother, Dean Lee of Coral; and sister, Mary Walls of Six Lakes. The Lee family would like to thank Spectrum Health Hospice for their wonderful care, especially Goldie, Debbie, and Alex. Public visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville. Private services will follow, with Pastor Louie Mogdis officiating. Private interment will be in Coral Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Seeds Family Church or Spectrum Health Hospice.
