SPRINGDALE - Geneva L. Bowen, 87, of Springdale crossed the Jordan River into the loving arms of her Savior Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayetteville. She was born April 3, 1933, in the Cove City community to Henry and Fannie (Mongold) Moses.
Geneva left her earthly body surrounded by her loved ones. She was a sweet mother, grandmother, wife, and friend who loved the simple things in life. She was a woman of God that listened and sang loudly her favorite southern gospel songs. Even more than the simple joys, she loved her family and friends unconditionally.
Her love for her family was shown in all the food she made, cooked with extra love, long phone calls, and she never wanted to leave or end a conversation without telling you she loved you and giving a hug and kiss. She lived a long life full or love, servitude, and gentleness, and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by husband Paul Eugene "Gene" Bowen; grandson Kevin Don Beaver; and three brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by children Jerry Beaver and wife Janet, Ricky Steiner, Randy Beaver and Tammie McFerrin; sister Bonnie Tipton; grandchildren Sara Brimble, Sarah Miller, Tiffany Mayes, Joshua McFerrin and Makayla McFerrin; great-grandchildren Dylan Miller, Christopher Brimble, Lexi Miller, Victoria Hurst, Kaleb Beaver and Ashleigh Beaver; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at Heritage Funeral Home chapel with burial at Elm Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, online obituary at heritageofnwa.com.
