James Edward Vinson, age 85, of Milledgeville, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021. Funeral services will be private, for family only.

James was born in Milledgeville on October 31, 1935 to the late George Vinson and the late Mable Bowdoin Vinson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Bell Proctor Vinson, by a daughter, Wanda Rozar, and by two brothers, Tommy Vinson and Alvin Vinson. James lived in Milledgeville all of his life, and was retired from Northrop Grumman. He enjoyed raising cattle on his farm, “DIjocama”, which was named after his grandchildren. James was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.

James is survived by: his daughter, Lynn Linder (& Ken) of Milledgeville ; grandchildren, Dixie Gray (& Aaron), Joyce Avery (& Jason), Cary Rozar (& Jessica), and Marshall Linder (& Rachel) ; and his great grandchildren, Katelyn, Harley, Callie, Miahai, and Zoe.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that Memorial Contributions be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 701 Browns Crossing Road, Milledgeville, GA 31061.
