Freddie A. McKinney, age 85, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021. He was born November 30, 1935 in Clay County, Kentucky to the late Walter and Evelyn (nee Marlor) McKinney.

Fred is survived by his faithful loving wife of 59 years, Ima Jean (nee Hacker); children, Sandie (Gregory) McKee, Douglas (Karen) McKinney, and Katrina (Tom) Dearinger; brothers, Tommy (Sharon) and Johnny (Roseanne) McKinney; grandchildren, Bradley, Shannon, Tommy (Olivia), Travis, Belle, and Winston; great grandchildren, Bayleigh and Dylan; many extended family and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Breanne, and siblings; Archie, Walter, Myrtle, Bill, Alice, Hubert, Ruth, and Connie Lou.

Fred retired from General Motors after working to support his family for 32 years. He loved his family and was a strong example as a husband, father, and beloved grandfather. Fred loved sports of all kinds and was especially fond of cheering on his favorite college football teams. He often attended the many activities of his grandchildren, always rooting from the sidelines, but was prepared to take everyone down during a competitive game of Uno or Cornhole.

Private services will be planned for the family through Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mrfh.com.
