Funeral services for Sylvia will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Charlie Wright officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bowling Green.
Sylvia was born on December 23, 1964 to George Leroy Clark and Ada Elizabeth Linear.
Sylvia grew up in Bowling Green and graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1983. She left shortly after graduation and spent her adult life in Minneapolis. As a health care worker, she spent her life helping others. She enjoyed playing Bingo, reading, bowling, and working word search puzzles. Although a private person of few words, she enjoyed being with her family and loved her nieces and nephews dearly. She also enjoyed shopping, hanging out with friends, and watching soap operas and westerns. Sylvia also loved NFL football.
Sylvia is survived by a brother, Chad Hill of Minneapolis, Minnesota; sister, Brandy Clark of Quincy, Illinois; step-sister, Patricia Hill of Wright City, Missouri; nieces and nephews: Kiriana McCormick, Avery Dodd, C.J. Hill, DeSean Campbell, Zaniya Campbell, and Kahmira Bassett; great-niece, Aviana Robinson; and close cousins: Willa Jean Lewis, Regina Hill, and Melissa Erving.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ada Hill; biological father, George Clark; and step-father, Arvil Hill.
Pallbearers will be C. J. Hill, Paul Redmond, Justin Sharp, Spencer Erving, and Mykel Linear.
