Mr. Hubert “Paw” Lee Shook, age 78 of Martha Lane, Blairsville, passed away peacefully on Monday January 11, 2021 at his home. Hubert was born on March 14, 1942 in Hiawassee, GA., son of the late Joseph Milton Shook & Ruby Gibson-Shook. Hubert worked as a carpenter most of his life; he dearly enjoyed working & providing for his loving family all throughout the years. He loved to be outdoors; especially when he was hunting, fishing or camping. Hubert loved time spent with his family; especially his grandchildren. His family was always there for him and he returned the favor. Hubert is preceded in death by his parents; a brother; Harold Shook, and a sister & brother-in-law; Annie Jo & Blueford Dyer. He was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church as well as being a life-long resident of Union County.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 14, 2021 at 2:00pm from the Mountain View Chapel. Interment will follow in the New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
