Evelyn June (Bunch) Warburton, age 89 of Beloit, Kansas left this earthly life on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 to be with her Savior. Evelyn was born the fourth child of seven on June 28, 1931 to Ed William Bunch and Clara Mary (Radke) Bunch in Lincoln, Kansas. On June 17, 1950, she was united in marriage to Laurence I. Warburton of Beloit at the courthouse in Salina, Kansas. They lived west of Beloit in the same home for 57 years and she stayed there another 11 years after his death in 2007. Together, they raised three children: Ruth, John, and Jimmy. One of Evelyn’s pleasures was her roses and growing flowers and helping with the garden growing vegetables. She enjoyed helping children grow and learn by being a leader with the Cub Scouts. She was always helping with the West Beloit 4-H Club and did that for over 29 years. She was also a leader for the 4-H Club. Evelyn loved all the pets that were part of the household, having many dogs and cats. She enjoyed the many 4-H livestock animals her children had as projects. She had fun times helping out with the kiddie barnyard at the county fair, especially watching the kids enjoy the animals. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Beloit, and was employed there for a few years as the building supervisor until she retired in 1992. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Wanda Mae and Wilma Jean; brothers Roy, Dean, Ed “Buck”, and Clint; her husband Laurence; and her daughter Ruth.
