FARMINGTON – Michael Sowell, 60, of West Paris, died in the early morning hours of Thursday April 23, 2009 at the Sandy River Center for Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
He was born Oct. 19, 1948 in Houston, Alabama, the son of George Robert and Ruth (Bowling) Sowell, Sr. He lived in Maine for over 20 years and was a pipe fitter for International Paper Co. He was an avid hunter and a taxidermist. He is survived by a sister, Ruthene Crane of Jacksonville, Florida and a brother, George R. Sowell, Jr. and his wife, Doris of Pansey, Alabama and special friends Carol and Michael Baker of New Vineyard.
