Alicia Nicole Baugess, 30, of Circleville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007.
She was born in Columbus on April 11, 1977, a daughter of Jeffrey Baugess and Cathy (Roberts) Woodruff. Alicia was a 1996 graduate of the Lancaster High School, attained an associate's degree from the South East Business College and the Bryman Medical Institute. She was active in the Girl Scouts of America and was employed by the Central Ohio Podiatry Group in Westerville.
She is survived by her father, Jeffrey Baugess of Circleville; mother, Cathy and Randy Woodruff of Lancaster; daughter, Catie Jo Hayden; paternal grandmother, Patricia Baugess of West Jefferson; maternal grandmother, Alice Roberts of West Jefferson; brother, Jason (Chrystal) Baugess of Canal Winchester; stepbrother, Scott Woodruff of San Diego, Calif.; sister, Tricia Baugess of Lancaster; two nephews, Ryan and Jacob Baugess; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Alicia was a loving and caring daughter, mother and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Raymond Baugess; and maternal grandfather, Ralph Roberts.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Wednesday at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home, 436 N. Broad St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.

CAUSE OF DEATH: Murdered by her boyfriend.
NOTE: Although I didn't know her personally, Alicia attended high school with my daughter. Alicia is the second woman from Lancaster High School's class of 1996 to be murdered by a boyfriend.
