Jerry Butler of Brewster, Ohio passed away Monday January 13, 2020 at the age of 84. She was born Jerry Rae Dale in Altus, Oklahoma daughter of Jay McCarty Dale and Vassie Lee (Bailey) Dale. Jerry was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jack Dale and husbands C. Herbert Cox and William Butler. She is survived by her brother Bob Dale and his wife Kathy and her four sons; Michael Cox and his wife Cathleen Civiello, Mark Cox and his wife Terri Cox, Greg Cox and his wife Christie Cox, Joel Cox and his wife Paige Cox. She's also survived by 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Jerry enjoyed working with children as a den mother in the Boy Scouts and as an elementary school librarian.
Jerry appreciated the exceptional care provided by the staff at Brewster Parke assisted living and nursing facility.
No service is planned until Jerry's inurnment at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Hobbs New Mexico near her parents and brother Jack.
