After an unexpected Stage 4 diagnosis in September 2020 and a hard fought 3.5 months, Deborah (Debbie) Marion Bonetti Wood lost her battle with cancer on January 7, 2021. Despite everything, though, she never lost her sense of humor. She went peacefully, surrounded by family, and listening to her favorite Kenny G songs. Debbie was born on June 25, 1960 in Baltimore, Maryland, and moved to Venice, Florida in 1972. She remained in Southwest Florida (Venice, Naples, and Cape Coral) until 2016, when she began her migration north to experience more seasons and escape the Florida heat. After a brief stay in Georgia, she finally settled in Eastern Tennessee in 2019 where she could enjoy the surrounding mountains and beautiful fall foliage. Debbie leaves behind a loving family – two sons, Michael and Alex Wood, 1 daughter, Andrea Pedroza, 1 sister, Diane Bottorf, 2 nieces Jamie Jarrett and Jenny Walden, 1 nephew Jimmy O’Guin, 2 grandchildren Andy and Isaac Pedroza, and 2 fur grandchildren Eddie and Ana. She is preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Bonetti (2016) and father, Daniel Bonetti (1965). A celebration of life with close friends and family will be held in Morristown, TN from January 15-17, 2021.
