He is predeceased by his brothers, David Pack and Horace Jacob Pack Jr.
James was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving twenty plus years and earning several medals. After retiring from the military, he went on to pursue a bachelor’s degree at Coastal Carolina University. There, he was an active brother in Sigma Phi Epsilon and many other clubs. He also retired from the USPS as a clerk and another fourteen years working for Liberty Tax Service. Jim was a devout Christian and member of Calvary Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for several years. In addition to being active in his church, he enjoyed traveling, he was always exploring and learning new things. James enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend to all.
Mr. Pack is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Sue Ann Johnson Pack; children, Nani Viernes (Richard), Kalani Versola (George), Jacqueline Angus (Nicci) and Beronica Pridgeon (Stephen); step children, Bernie Kiambao (David), Gene Harrelson Jr., and Cynthia Polen (David); siblings, George William Pack, and Barbara Norvel Smith; twenty grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and many other family and friends who will miss him.
A Graveside Service will be held 1pm Friday, January 15, 2021 at Westside Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
