Irma "Jane" Butts, 90, formerly of Mount Joy, passed away Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, at Bridges of Bent Creek, Mechanicsburg.

Born in Mahanoy City, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Irma Margaret (Goepfert) Stahler.

Jane was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School, Class of 1947. She graduated from Bryn Mawr Hospital Nursing School in 1950. Jane worked at Germantown Hospital from 1950 to 1953 and Phoenixville Hospital from 1954 to 1957. In 1957, Jane moved to Schuylkill Haven, where she worked and later retired from Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville, in 2000. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Mount Joy. She enjoyed trips to the beach and the family cabin in the Poconos. Jane also enjoyed movies, bowling, reading and traveling.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Ruth Hower.

Jane is survived by two sons, James D. Butts, husband of Cindy, of Enola, and Robert M. Butts, husband of Eileen, of Lake Mary, Fla. Also surviving are two grandsons, Jason Birchfield and Robert Butts.
