Larry D. Bass (Rambo), age 70,was born December 10, 1949, the son of Ethel and Lee Bass, brother to Wincel, Yolanda, and Cheryl. All of whom passed before him. He died on Friday, July 24, 2020 at home in Monroe, LA. Larry is a Monroe native and graduated from Wossman high school. He was drafted into the army in 1970 and sent to Vietnam where he carried an M60 machine gun through the jungle for 6 months. Upon his return, Larry struggled to live a normal life having experienced things that no one should. He worked in sales as a younger man and on trying to stay out of trouble as an older man. He was never very good at the latter. He married Paula Case in 1971 and had 3 children together: Robert D. Bass, Jeremy Tadd Bass, and Melissa D. Bass-Bingham. He also has 12 grandchildren who were the joy in his world. Larry loved coaching baseball and football when his children were small. His first marriage came to an end in 1988 and he did not marry again until 2013 to Julie Sears-Bass. Larry loved his family and we had our ups and down, but we loved him back. We will miss you, old fart!
