Lillie LaJune Jones 'June' was born in James, Texas to Walter and Leona Hall on June 2, 1931. She entered into Heaven on January 9, 2021. Her six sisters and five brothers called her 'June Bug'. She married the love of her life, JB Jones on May 26, 1950 and together, they were able to celebrate seventy years last May. She and JB raised five children. They later claimed two more as 'their's. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, four sisters and son-in-law, Kelson Rehobson. She is survived by her husband, JB Jones and her children, Brenda Rehobson, Goodman, Missouri; James and wife, Sharon Jones, Neosho, Missouri; Cindy and husband, Boyd Shepherd, Neosho, Missouri; Tommy and wife, Glenda Jones, Virginia; Janie Rogers, Neosho, Missouri; Clyde and Deb Davidson, Goodman, Missouri and James and Shirley Davidson, Neosho, Missouri and sisters, Wanda Parsons, Wichita, Kansas and Nelwyn Dockins, Diamond, Missouri. She leaves behind 87 children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She retired from La-Z-Boy Midwest-Neosho as a seamstress. She was an active and faithful member of the Banner Nazarene Church in Goodman, Missouri. She enjoyed cooking, social gatherings and family get-togethers. She loved volleyball, basketball and children's laughter. She sang, recited poetry and told funny stories. She was without a doubt, the life of the party. She was famous for her rolls, mint brownies and Mexican Cassaroles.
She was a selfless wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was highly active in her church, participated in skits, teaching and missions projects. She thought maybe she had missed her calling as an actress --and maybe she had. She was exuberant, energetic, animated, vivacious and feisty. It was difficult to say no to this smiling little lady because she would begin her ask with 'Do you want to be blessed?"
"But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect.' Hebrews 12:22-23 NIV.
